Liberian recording artist Rafield G has issued a public apology following the controversy surrounding his appearance at the just-ended Independence Day celebration hosted by LIB Brunch.
In an official statement released on Wednesday, the artist apologized to his fans, supporters, event organizers, stakeholders, and the general public, admitting that his conduct during the event fell short of expectations.
Rafield G acknowledged that the language he used on stage was inappropriate and said he regretted allowing his emotions to influence his reaction during the incident, which generated discussions online after videos from the event circulated.
“ No circumstance justifies allowing frustration to override good judgment,” the artist stated, adding that he takes responsibility for his actions and understands the influence he carries as a public figure.
The controversy reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over performance time during the Independence Day celebration. Following the situation, Rafield G said he reached out to the event organizers to apologize and resolve any misunderstanding privately and respectfully.
