Liberian music star JZyNo has officially kicked off his promise to support local talent, unveiling the first artist selected for his planned series of free collaborations with Liberian musicians.
The self-proclaimed “Global Boy” announced in a recent social media post that after carefully reviewing fan suggestions and conducting his own research, he has chosen rising artist Yo B as the first beneficiary.
“Meet the first artist; Yo B. Verse will be sent soon, by God’s grace,” JZyNo wrote.
According to the artist, the decision was not made lightly, as he spent time evaluating multiple names submitted by fans before settling on his first pick.
He further explained that his initiative is designed to balance both established and emerging talent within the Liberian music industry. JZyNo revealed plans to feature one or two top-tier artists alongside one or two upcoming acts as part of the rollout.
He also noted that additional selections will be announced in the coming months, with the next wave of artists expected to be revealed between August and September.
The announcement has already sparked widespread excitement across social media, with fans praising JZyNo for using his platform to spotlight and uplift local talent at a time when many artists are seeking broader exposure.
Industry observers also view the initiative as a potential boost for collaboration within the Liberian music scene, especially given JZyNo’s growing international profile and influence across African music markets.
For Yo B, the selection marks a major career moment, as a collaboration with one of Liberia’s biggest global exports could provide significant visibility and open new opportunities.
With more artists still to be announced, anticipation is now building around who will be next to join the list in what is shaping up to be one of JZyNo’s most impactful local initiatives of the year.
