Jubilee Football Club has officially been reinstated to the Liberia Football Association (LFA) First Division following a decisive ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which overturned the LFA’s earlier decision to relegate the team.
According to the club’s official statement, CAS ruled that the process leading to Jubilee FC’s relegation on May 8, 2025, was “procedurally improper.” The court directed the LFA to rehear the matter through the appropriate body, the Club Licensing Appeal Board. Until that process is completed, CAS confirmed that Jubilee FC remains a First Division club under its binding award.
Jubilee FC expressed profound gratitude to its legal counsel, led by Attorney Joseph Y. Howe, as well as to its players, officials, and supporters for their steadfast faith and commitment during the legal battle.
“This decision is not just a win for Jubilee FC,” the club noted, “but a victory for due process, transparency, and the rule of law in Liberian football.”
The statement further emphasized the club’s continued respect for the LFA, CAF, and FIFA, pledging to maintain a spirit of cooperation and unity moving forward.

With this ruling, Jubilee FC is now set to participate in the 2025–26 LFA First Division League, bringing the total number of competing teams to 15, marking a major milestone in Liberian football governance and accountability.
