MARGIBI COUNTY, Liberia — Quita Dolo has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to charges arising from the high-profile drug trafficking case linked to Roberts International Airport (RIA).
Resident Judge Victoria Duncan of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court approved a plea agreement reached between Dolo’s defense team and prosecutors after determining that her guilty plea was made voluntarily and with a full understanding of the consequences.
By entering the guilty plea, Dolo avoided a full trial in the case. The court subsequently sentenced her to five years in prison and ordered that she serve the sentence at a correctional facility designated by the Ministry of Justice.
The case stems from the seizure of a large quantity of illegal narcotics at Roberts International Airport, which triggered a major investigation and resulted in the arrest of several individuals.
Dolo’s guilty plea and subsequent sentencing mark another development in the government’s ongoing prosecution of suspects connected to the case.
The Ministry of Justice has maintained that it remains committed to pursuing drug trafficking and organized crime and prosecuting individuals found to be involved in the illegal movement and distribution of narcotics.
The case remains part of a broader investigation into the alleged drug trafficking network connected to the RIA seizure, with authorities continuing to pursue other suspects and aspects of the investigation.
