In a story that has left villagers both stunned and reflective, a man from Uttar Pradesh’s Sant Kabir Nagar district made an extraordinary decision after discovering his wife’s long-term affair, he arranged her marriage to her lover.
Babloo, a laborer who often traveled for work, had been married to Radhika since 2017. The couple had two children, aged 7 and 9. However, during his absences, Radhika developed a relationship with another man in the village. When Babloo’s family learned of the affair and informed him, he initially tried to reconcile with his wife. But when their marriage could not be salvaged, he took an unexpected step.
Rather than pursuing a bitter separation or legal battle, Babloo decided to formalize Radhika’s relationship with her lover. He first ensured their marriage was legally solemnized in court. Then, in a poignant ceremony at a temple, the couple exchanged garlands and vows, all in the presence of Babloo himself.
A video from the ceremony, now circulating online, shows Radhika in tears as she marries her lover while her husband looks on. Babloo’s only condition was that he retain custody of their two children, a request Radhika accepted.
