Full List Of Nominees Of The 2021 MTN Liberia Music Awards.

The time has come again when society recognizes the efforts of creators within the Liberian Music industry. Over time, the MTN Liberia Music Awards has maintain its post as the most reputable awarding platform in Liberia. Recognizing talents, ranging from upcoming to prominent artists, videographers, and Djs.

And for this year’s award the nomination list has been released as voting is already on going throughout the country and the world as a whole where Liberians are residing.

Firstly we will like to state the criterion on which these nominations were based. So you as a person can be able to analyze and decide on which nomination was right or wrong. As many critics have taken to the social media to badmouth the organizers on being bias, partial and/or fake.

𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁/𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀:

1. Artist must be a Liberian or of Liberian decent.

2. The artist must have at least two songs and a video.

3. There must be at least one Liberian in a group with multiple nationalities.

4. The Artist/Group must have at least one video to his credit.

5. Must be registered with the LMA or have a verifiable contact info.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶a 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄:

1. The artist must be of a Liberian decent.

2. A Liberian must be on the song (owner or featured).

3. The song must be released three months before the date of the consideration years program.

4. The 2021 program has been moved to November 2021, this years songs must have been released from August 2020 to July 2021.

5. This is because some songs have a incubation period before they get popular. These songs usually are late for inclusion during the nomination period so they are carrried over.

6. *For example a song is release in June or July and nomination ends July 31st.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰:

1. The video must be by a Liberian artist or artist of a Liberian decent.

2. The video must not be more then 18 months by the awards date. This is very important because some artist wait years to do a video of their top hit(s).

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐉𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰:

1. They must be a Liberian, of Liberian decent or working majority in the Liberian music industry.

2. Must be active at events or with an entertainment entity.

3. He/She must have to at least 20 events during the time under review.

4. Must be registered with the LMA or have a verifiable contact info.
