The Liberia Football Association (LFA) Grievance and Disciplinary Committee has expelled FC Fassell President and Chief Executive Officer Cassell Anthony Kuoh from the Association and all football-related activities after finding that he committed serious violations of the LFA and FIFA statutes.

The decision, announced on Sunday, July 6, 2026, follows a formal complaint filed by Small Town Football Academy President J. Melton N. Yoko, who alleged that Kuoh breached the governing statutes by taking an LFA electoral dispute before an ordinary court.

According to the Committee, chaired by Acting Chairman Jenkins D.N. Pelenah, Sr., a comprehensive investigation found that Kuoh’s decision to seek an injunction against the Liberia Football Association through the civil court system violated the Association’s rules governing the resolution of football disputes.

The Committee stated that Article 18, Subsection 18.3(J)(K), and Article 19 of the LFA Statutes require all football-related disputes to be resolved exclusively through the Association’s designated Arbitration Tribunal rather than ordinary courts.

In its ruling, the Committee concluded that Kuoh’s legal action amounted to undue third-party interference in the internal governance and electoral processes of the Liberia Football Association.

It further found him in violation of Article 2, Article 18.3, and Article 19 of the LFA Statutes (as amended), as well as Article 51 of the FIFA Statutes.

“As a consequence of the foregoing findings, Mr. Cassell Anthony Kuoh knowingly, purposely, intentionally, willfully, and specifically committed serious infringement of the LFA Statutes, regulations, directives, and decisions of the LFA, FIFA, CAF, and WAFU,” the Committee ruled.

Citing Chapter 15, Article 27 of the LFA’s 2018 Approved Statutes (as amended), the Committee said the provision permits the forfeiture of membership for serious infringements of the Association’s statutes or the improper use of ordinary courts in football matters.

Based on that provision, the Committee ordered Kuoh’s immediate expulsion from the Liberia Football Association and barred him from participating in all football-related activities.

The ruling marks one of the most significant disciplinary actions taken by the Liberia Football Association in recent years and comes amid heightened tensions surrounding the Association’s electoral process.

As of the Committee’s announcement, there was no immediate public response from Cassell Anthony Kuoh regarding the decision.
