The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Liberia has released the results of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), with more than 52,000 candidates recorded as successful.

A total of 55,887 candidates sat for this year’s examination, while 52,897 candidates were successful.

Among the subjects, Mathematics recorded a 72.8% pass rate, making it one of the stronger-performing academic subjects. Physics recorded the lowest performance, with a 53.7% pass rate.

The results also show encouraging performances in technical education, while the lower outcomes in some academic subjects point to the need for continued efforts to strengthen teaching, learning and student preparation.

The release of the results marks an important milestone for thousands of Liberian students who have completed their secondary education and are now looking toward university, vocational training, employment and other opportunities.

Congratulations to all the 2026 WASSCE seniors on completing this important chapter.

Mention a senior you know and congratulate them.
