Monrovia, Liberia – June 23, 2026 – Popular Liberian social media influencer and public figure Dr. Vicky Gray has been arrested following allegations of aggravated assault and other related offenses arising from a reported altercation in Sinkor.

According to court records, the Monrovia City Court issued a writ of arrest against Dr. Gray and several other unnamed individuals after a private criminal complaint was filed by Stephen Weah, Joseph C. Weah Jr., and Emmanuel Buno.

The complainants allege that an incident occurred on the morning of June 21, 2026, at the Cigar Bar located on 19th Street in Sinkor, where a confrontation reportedly escalated into physical violence.

Court documents indicate that the complainants accused Dr. Gray and others of assaulting them during the incident, resulting in injuries including bruises, scratches, and other forms of bodily harm that allegedly required medical treatment.

Following the issuance of the writ, Dr. Gray was reportedly arrested by sheriffs assigned to the Monrovia City Court and briefly detained as part of the court’s initial enforcement process.

The complaint lists several charges, including aggravated assault, simple assault, menacing, criminal conspiracy, and disorderly conduct, all of which are offenses under Liberia’s Revised Penal Law.

Judicial sources told reporters that after the initial proceedings at the Monrovia City Court, the case was referred to the Liberia National Police (LNP) for further investigation.

The police are expected to review the allegations, gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and determine the appropriate legal course of action.

No formal trial has commenced, and authorities have emphasized that the allegations remain under investigation. As such, Dr. Gray and the other accused individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of competent jurisdiction.

The Liberia National Police has not yet publicly commented on the matter, while Dr. Gray has also not issued an official statement regarding the allegations as of press time.

The case is expected to attract significant public attention given Dr. Gray’s prominence on social media and influence among a large segment of the Liberian public.

Further developments are anticipated as investigators continue their review of the complaint and related evidence.
