MONROVIA, Liberia – The Monrovia City Court has revoked the Writ of Ne Exeat Republica previously issued against social media personality Dr. Vicky Gray, lifting all restrictions on her international travel pending the outcome of legal proceedings against her.

The writ, which was issued on June 24, 2026, barred Gray from leaving Liberia amid concerns raised by petitioners that she could depart the country while a matter involving her remained before the court.

However, the court’s decision was reversed following an application submitted by Gray’s legal counsel, Atty. Jeremiah Samuel Dugbo, I, who argued that his client posed no flight risk and had no intention of evading the jurisdiction of the court.

In the application, Atty. Dugbo maintained that Dr. Gray is a responsible and reputable citizen who remains willing to appear before the court whenever required and has no plans to abscond from Liberia.

According to the court order revoking the writ, signed by Clerk of Court Abel Kalay, the justification for maintaining the travel restriction no longer existed.

“The Ne Exeat Republica of June 24, 2026, issued by this Honorable Court for the purpose of preventing Co-Defendant Vicky Gray from leaving the bailiwick of the Republic of Liberia, is by order of Court revoked and lifted since, in fact and indeed, the purpose for which the writ was issued no longer exists,” the order stated.

The court further declared that Gray is now free to travel outside Liberia.

“Vicky Gray is therefore at liberty and free to leave the Republic of Liberia to foreign parts as she wishes,” the order added.

The ruling effectively restores Gray’s ability to travel internationally, subject to any future orders that may be issued by the court as the case progresses.

Meanwhile, the legal matter remains active. The case is expected to resume on Monday at 11:30 a.m. following a request by Atty. Dugbo for a preliminary examination into the aggravated assault charge filed against his client.

The upcoming hearing is expected to determine whether the prosecution has presented sufficient evidence to proceed with the case.

The revocation of the travel ban marks the latest development in a matter that has drawn public attention, with the court now preparing to address the substantive issues surrounding the aggravated assault allegation.
