MONROVIA — Citizens of Montserrado County District #11 have issued a firm public demand to House Speaker Richard Nagbe Koon, calling for the immediate release of a detailed report on his performance and activities in office.

The constituents stressed that such a report is not a matter of choice, but a core responsibility tied to the mandate entrusted to him as their elected representative and now Speaker of the House of Representatives. They argued that transparency remains a cornerstone of democratic leadership, one they believe is currently being neglected.

According to the group, there has been little to no formal communication from Speaker Koon regarding his legislative work, development initiatives, or advocacy efforts on behalf of the district. They described the lack of updates as deeply concerning, noting that it creates a growing disconnect between the lawmaker and the people he represents.

“This silence is unacceptable,” the constituents indicated, emphasizing that regular engagement with citizens is a duty that must be upheld, not an option to be exercised at will.

They further warned that continued inaction could erode public trust and weaken confidence in leadership. While clarifying that they are not calling for violence, the group cautioned that mounting frustration among residents could lead to protests and other forms of civil action if their concerns remain unaddressed.

The citizens concluded by urging Speaker Koon to act without delay, stating that restoring accountability and open communication is critical to easing rising tensions and rebuilding trust within the district.
