Honorable Yekeh Kolubah, the controversial representative of District #10, has expressed deep disappointment over former President George M. Weah’s recent viral dance video, which has gained massive attention across Liberia.

Kolubah did not mince words, calling the video a “gross display of insensitivity” given the pressing issues facing the country. He criticized Weah for engaging in what he described as “frivolous entertainment” while the nation grapples with significant challenges.

“Weah should be using his platform to speak up for the Liberian people, not to dance while serious concerns go unaddressed,” Kolubah stated. He pointed to recent waves of dismissals within the Executive Protection Service (EPS) as an issue that demands immediate attention. “Instead of dancing, Weah should be speaking out about why these officers were suddenly removed from their positions and how it impacts national security.”

The lawmaker also voiced concerns over the dismissal of public servants from various ministries, many of whom have been left jobless without any clear justification. In his remarks, Kolubah urged Weah to stand in solidarity with those who have been affected, calling the moves a blow to Liberia’s governance and international relations.

“He was knocked down in the recent election and should now focus on standing up for Liberians,” Kolubah said. “It’s time for him to put the government’s feet to the fire.”

Kolubah further emphasized the need for the opposition community to unite in the interest of the Liberian people, promising to address the press soon regarding his concerns.

As Weah’s video continues to spark debate, Kolubah’s comments have added fuel to the growing political discourse surrounding leadership and accountability in Liberia.
