UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (UAE) DONATES HUMVEES (APC – ARMORED PERSONAL CARRIER) TO THE GOVERNMENT OF LIBERIA.

As part of efforts to supporting the Pro Poor initiative of President Weah, the Government and People Of the United Arab Emirates have donated a dozen humvees to the people and government of the Republic of Liberia as part of their promise and contribution to uplifting and strengthening the country\’s defense system.

The donation came in months after Pres. Weah\’s Visit to the UAE to seek financial and economic support from one of the World\’s blising and booming economic nation. Though he didn\’t receive cash assistance, the donations of these humvees serve as a bigger boost for the country\’s defense system,

During his visit the President was spotted playing football with members of one of his former club teams based in the UAE. Something many Liberians criticized and  labelled him as a childish and unprepared leader. But now the true manifestation of his visit has been seen and its for certain that all of his visits out of the country are gonna bring more blessings to the country while boosting our economy.

The Humves (APC – Armored Personal Carrier) are to be deployed along with a batch of AFL – Armed Forces Of Liberia soldiers who are set to leave the country for Mali as a continuation of their major role play in the peace keeping process of that west african nation.

Meanwhile there are several concerns Pres. Weah is concentrated on and is more skeptical about. The absence of UNMIL, which needs the boosting of the Country\’s National Defense System, the building of human resource capacity, creation of jobs, and maintaining a stable Economy are cardinal and  major priorities of his government.
