Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and other related crimes. He was ordered to be held without bail after pleading not guilty in federal court in New York City. Prosecutors argued that Combs posed a significant danger to the community and was a flight risk, while his defense attorney, Marc Agnifilo, expressed plans to appeal the detention ruling.

The charges, part of an indictment unsealed Tuesday, allege that Combs has been involved in a criminal organization since 2008, engaging in sex trafficking, forced labor, and other offenses. Prosecutors claimed Combs used coercion tactics, including drugs, to control victims during incidents he called “Freak Offs,” which were often recorded. Firearms were also reportedly found during a raid on his homes earlier this year.

Combs’ legal team has strongly denied the accusations, stating that he is innocent and plans to fight the charges. The case has attracted attention as Combs has faced multiple lawsuits recently, including allegations of sexual misconduct, all of which he has denied.
