Dr. Clarence Moniba is calling on President Boakai to recall the US$1.2 billion draft national budget and immediately raise civil servants’ minimum take-home pay to US$500. He says Liberia can achieve this by reducing the government from 104 institutions to no more than 50, saving nearly US$400 million that can directly improve salaries, schools, hospitals, and community security.

Liberia’s House of Representatives has received the Draft National Budget for Fiscal Year 2026/2027, totaling US$1.2 billion. Finance Minister Augustine Ngafuan presented the document on behalf of President Boakai, outlining plans to strengthen revenue generation and fund key national priorities.
