The Liberia National Police (LNP) has charged and forwarded Lassannah Kromah, commonly known as “Laso,” to court on multiple counts, including armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, criminal facilitation, aiding consummation of crime, theft of property, and fraud.
Laso’s court appearance follows his arrest on October 17, 2025, during a major anti-robbery sweep in Montserrado County, which led to the recovery of seventeen (17) stolen motorbikes from his residence. Police investigators say the property was being used as both a garage and a storage site for stolen motorcycles.
According to the LNP, Laso had been buying stolen bikes, issuing fake sales receipts, and deceiving unsuspecting buyers by pretending to operate a legitimate motorbike business supposedly registered in Ganta City, Nimba County, a claim later proven false.
The Police have renewed their call for victims of motorbike theft to visit LNP Headquarters with proper ownership documents to identify and reclaim their property. The public is also being cautioned to avoid purchasing stolen goods, as such actions constitute a crime under Liberian law and could result in arrest and prosecution.
