Dr. Kimmie Weeks, a renowned political figure, recently added another prestigious degree to his extensive academic resume as he earns his first degree from his home country, Liberia. After obtaining multiple degrees, including a doctorate, from top universities in the United States, Dr. Weeks fulfilled a lifelong aspiration by graduating with his first law degree from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law at the University of Liberia.

In reflecting on his journey, Dr. Weeks shared that this moment had been a dream of his for many years. Forced to leave Liberia in 1999, just months before completing high school, he pursued academic excellence in the U.S. but never let go of his desire to graduate from a Liberian institution.

“I’ve been fortunate to study at some of the most prestigious universities in the United States,” Dr. Weeks wrote. “However, I’ve always dreamed of earning a law degree and graduating from a Liberian university. Yesterday, I finally achieved both.”

He acknowledged the challenges along the way but credited divine destiny for guiding his path. Expressing gratitude, Dr. Weeks thanked his family, friends, and loved ones for their unwavering support throughout his academic journey.

In a heartfelt dedication, he expressed that this achievement is for his children, with the hope that they will go even further than he has ever dreamed.

Dr. Weeks’ accomplishment not only marks a significant personal achievement but also underscores his enduring commitment to education and his deep connection to Liberia.
