Just hours after the announcement of his expulsion from the national team of Liberia for indisciplinary conducts, the Liberian Soccer Star took to his official Facebook Page to apologize to the Country, the team, and staffs, his fans, family and friends for his misconduct before, during and after the Country\’s World Cup Qualifier Match against Sierra Leone.
Tonia Tisdell who joined made his first debut for the national team in 2008 expressed regrets over his attitude and admitted to his in disciplinary act but nothing it was a mistake that happened because of some family and personal problems which is no excuse for a professional.
In His Exact Words He Said:
Fellow Liberians,
It is a difficult time for me right now. At times we make mistakes to learn from them. Let me use this platform to apologize to the general public for my actions toward the National Team of Liberia. I have been faced with some personal family issues that led to my regrettable response.
My actions were so wrong and there is no excuse for such act as a professional, especially from one of the longest serving player on the National Team. I came to serve my country and I have always come out here in good faith knowing that my best will be good enough to help the National Team.
I want to apologize to the coaching staffs, the Liberia Football Association, my teammates, the Ministry of Youth and Sport, my fans et al.
Honestly, I am very sorry for the distraction from a great start working with the new coach. I fully accept the disciplinary action taken by the National Team. No matter the circumstances, I wish my country a successful game away and I pray that we will get a win and be a part of the group stage for the next World Cup qualifiers.
I am human and my actions were inexcusable, but one good thing is that I will always have the National Team at heart.
The National Team is bigger than any individual regardless of status. Again, I am very sorry.
Question: Should Be Forgiven and Given Another Chance On The National Team?
