Kerkula Aketella Blama, widely known as Aketella, is a Liberian blogger, vlogger, on-air personality, curator, public relations professional, and digital influencer. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Geez Media Inc., a media corporation that oversees platforms including Geez Liberia, Geez Ghana, Geez Nigeria, Geez Sierra Leone, Geez Sports, Geez Store, and AME University Geez.

Blama is currently pursuing higher education at the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU), where he is a sophomore majoring in Management with a minor in Public Administration. He is also a graduate of Firestone Senior School, where he earned his high school diploma, and a certificate holder from the Orange Digital Center, reflecting his commitment to digital innovation and media growth.

Career and Experience

Blama began his journey in the Liberian media landscape in 2016 as a blogger for Plus Liberia, one of the country’s leading entertainment platforms. He worked with Plus Liberia until 2018, building a strong foundation in content creation, entertainment reporting, and audience engagement. His professional experience extends beyond blogging. He served as: Social Media Manager for the Liberia Music Awards, helping expand its digital presence. Publicist at Studio 14 Liberia, where he managed communications and artist branding.

Recognizing the need for a dedicated, youth-driven platform, Blama established his own brand in 2018, launching Geez Liberia (initially called LIB Geez). Under his leadership, the platform expanded into a regional network, now represented in multiple West African countries.
