The attorney for former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin has filed a motion seeking a lesser sentence in the murder of George Floyd ahead of his June 25th sentencing hearing. Jewish Agency chairman, Isaac Herzog has been elected as the11th president of the State of Israel after receiving 87 votes from parliamentary members in a secret ballot vote in the Knesset plenum. 60-year-old Herzog\’s opponent, Israel Prize-winning educator Miriam Peretz received 27 votes and three Members abstained.
