Germany have recalled Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels back to the international team ahead of Euro 2020 after announcing their 26-man squad for the tournament. On Wednesday May 12th 2021, Dr. Kimmie Weeks hosted a survey his consultancy website to know how many Liberians are in support of the creation of a public holiday for Muslims in Liberia. Results from the KLW Consultant survey have been posted by Dr. Weeks and it shows that in total 490 people took part in the survey. A Nigerian judge was on Tuesday kidnapped from inside a court in the northern state of Katsina, local media report. The Sharia court judge, identified as Alhaji Husaini Sama’ila, is said to have been kidnapped in the afternoon local time after armed attackers broke into the court in Zakat village. Health authorities in Malawi have incinerated 19,610 expired doses of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine, saying it will reassure the public that any vaccines they do get are safe. It is the first African country to publicly do this. The World Health Organization initially urged countries not to destroy expired doses but has now changed its advice. Uptake of the vaccine in Malawi has been low and health workers hope the move will increase public confidence.
