A man survived after a 20ft metal pole pierced his brain when he fell from a building site. The 24-year-old was working on the site in Ghaziabad, New Delhi, India, on July 31 when he stopped and looked up. Then a metal rod came hurtling down from the 20th floor towards him, plunging through his brain and out the back of his skull. US President, Joe Biden has said he does not regret his decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, as the Taliban continue to make advances. Violence has escalated across Afghanistan now that US-led forces have all withdrawn following 20 years of military operations. A 24-year-old man has reportedly killed his 35-year-old girlfriend in Obuasi community, Ashanti Region of Ghana. The man carried out the act after finding a sex video of her and another man on her phone. A 24-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend to death with a broken beer bottle in Majeje village, Lulekani, outside Phalaborwa, South Africa on Saturday.
