The Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) to adopt best practices and strategies in the broadcasting industry. Speaking at the signing ceremony which took place on August 17, 2021 at the Broadcasting House in Accra, Director General of GBC, Professor Amin Alhassan said the MOU will help the Corporation and LBS to establish a collaborative relationship that will cover staff capacity development and content exchange. Social media giants, Facebook have reportedly blocked WhatsApp accounts linked to the Taliban after the Islamic group forcefully seized power in Afghanistan and sought to use the messaging service to help it govern. \”The Taliban is sanctioned as a terrorist organization under US law and we have banned them from our services under our Dangerous Organization policies,\” a Facebook spokesperson told AFP.
