Another border crisis is unfolding between Liberia and Guinea, raising fresh concerns over territorial integrity in Lofa County.
Reports emerging from the Kondadu (Liberia) and Moijahro (Guinea) area indicate that individuals from the Guinean side have allegedly crossed into Liberian territory and hoisted the Guinean flag, in Kondadu. The situation has heightened tensions in the area, with access reportedly restricted and residents left in uncertainty.
Information gathered also reveals that the Guinean flag remains raised on Liberian soil in Solunba, another border town within Lofa County, further deepening concerns among local communities.
This development echoes a similar incident reported last year, when Guinean nationals allegedly crossed into Saifudu and assaulted a Liberian immigration officer during a related border dispute.
As tensions rise, traditional leaders in the affected areas have called for a meeting to address the situation, while citizens await an official response from the Liberian government.
