According to Verity News a senior officer of the National Security Agency (NSA), identified as Peter Bonn Jallah, has been arrested and is currently in police custody following allegations that he, along with two unidentified associates, sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy in Monrovia. Audio recordings obtained by this publication reportedly corroborate the claims.
The victim, a young soccer player from the local community, remains hospitalized and is receiving medical care. According to multiple family members, community residents, and sources within the security sector, the boy was allegedly enticed by Jallah with the promise of a new pair of football boots, gaining the child’s trust in the days leading up to the incident.
Reports indicate the assault occurred last week when the teenager went to collect the promised shoes. The situation came to public attention on Saturday, when the boy was found in critical condition near the beachside in Sinkor. Witnesses described him as “helplessly lying down,” barely conscious and struggling to breathe.
Bystanders rushed to assist and managed to stabilize him. Once he regained some strength, he reportedly provided his mother’s contact information, allowing residents to alert her immediately. The boy was then transported to a hospital, where doctors began treatment.
While under medical care, the teenager is said to have recounted the incident to health professionals and family members, naming Jallah and two others as responsible. His parents subsequently reported the matter to the Liberia National Police (LNP), prompting a formal investigation.
Sources indicate that Jallah was called in for questioning on Tuesday at the LNP headquarters and was subsequently detained at the central police station in Monrovia. The identities and custody status of the two alleged accomplices remain unknown.
A preliminary medical report reportedly confirms that the boy suffered injuries consistent with sexual assault. The full findings have not been released, and health authorities have yet to issue an official statement.
Verity News contacted the Women and Children Protection Section (WACPS) of the Liberia National Police for comment, but they referred inquiries to the police spokesperson, who reportedly was unavailable due to illness. Some community members have expressed concerns over a potential “cover-up,” as official statements from security agencies remain pending.
