Liberia First Division outfit Heaven Eleven have confirmed the departure of their captain, Abdullah “Yaya” Bility, following his successful transfer to Maldivian giants New Radiant Sports Club.
Bility, a highly rated midfielder, is widely considered one of the standout talents in Liberian football. His consistent excellence in domestic competition was recognized when he was crowned Liberian League Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2023/2024 season.
A regular fixture in the Liberia national team, Bility has also made a growing impact on the international stage. He scored his maiden international goal on December 22 last year against Senegal, one of Africa’s most formidable football nations, further underlining his quality and composure at the highest level.
The midfielder’s senior career began in 2015 with Liberia’s Cestrian Senior team. He later featured for local sides including Barack Young Controllers (BYC) and B Mountain, before joining Heaven Eleven in 2023. His leadership and on-field influence quickly earned him the captain’s armband, solidifying his status as a key figure in the team.
Bility’s arrival forms part of New Radiant Sports Club’s broader rebuilding strategy as they strengthen their squad during the ongoing transfer window. The Maldivian club has also secured the signatures of the country’s first-choice goalkeeper Mohamed Faisal, as well as Gold Cup standout Mohamed Fasir, popularly known as Faatey, from Edhufushi.
The move marks a significant milestone in Bility’s career and represents another step forward for Liberian footballers making their presence felt on the international club stage.
