The National Leadership of the Unity Party (UP) has issued a firm directive to all partisans, supporters, and sympathizers serving in appointed positions within the Government of Liberia, cautioning them against the misuse of state resources during upcoming political activities.
According to the National Coordinating Committee, no official government vehicles, assets, or resources should be deployed for the Unity Party Homecoming or any related party functions. The leadership emphasized that this mandate aligns fully with Part V of the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, which bars the use of state resources for partisan political engagement.
The Party noted that as the governing establishment, it carries a heightened responsibility to demonstrate good governance, transparency, and respect for the rule of law. Upholding these standards, the statement said, begins with ensuring a clear separation between the affairs of the State and the operations of the Party.
The UP stressed that violations will not be taken lightly. Any government official found to be using public assets for party purposes will face immediate internal disciplinary measures and may be subject to public criticism for breaching the trust placed in them.

The Party expressed confidence that the Homecoming celebrations will proceed in a peaceful, orderly, and law-abiding manner as it continues to push forward its national development agenda.
