Tension has gripped parts of Nimba County after two men suspected of stealing pigs were discovered dead early Friday, November 28, 2025, along a farm road situated between Blohn and Kpoapa on the Ganta–Saclepea highway.
According to residents, the incident began around 2:30 a.m. when loud squeals were heard from the piggery of community member Mixson Zarwolo. Upon checking his pen, Zarwolo reportedly encountered unknown individuals attacking his animals, prompting an alarm that drew residents out in pursuit.
Community sources say three men were believed to be involved. Two were captured, including one identified as Robertson Robert of Kpoapa. His own father, Robert Suah, allegedly surrendered him to the community, branding him a “notorious criminal” who had only recently returned from prison.
Accounts from multiple witnesses indicate that the captured suspects were later taken from the scene by a mob to an undisclosed location, where they were allegedly beaten and killed. Their bodies were discovered hours later along the farm road, remaining unclaimed for three days as investigators worked to confirm their identities.
Police in Flumpa have since arrested Suah and two other individuals believed to be connected to the mob action. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, with officers working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the deaths and the attempted theft.
