The Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) has unveiled an ambitious development initiative aimed at transforming Liberia’s local communities through major infrastructure support. According to the party, 26 pieces of heavy-duty yellow machines will arrive in the country by January 2026 to fuel its ongoing mission of driving tangible change across Liberia.
Speaking during a recent address, CMC Political Leader Representative Musa Hassan Bility reaffirmed the party’s commitment to practical, community-centered action rather than rhetoric. He emphasized that before the 2029 general elections, CMC will have visible legacy projects established in every county.
“CMC is a serious political party; we talk and we do. We live up to our promises,” Bility stated confidently. “Liberia needs to be redeemed.”
The announcement comes on the heels of a recent standoff between the CMC and the Ministry of Public Works, which reportedly blocked the party’s attempt to construct a modern bridge in Gbarnga, Bong County. Despite the setback, Bility maintained that the party remains undeterred and more motivated to continue its development drive.
“We are encouraged, not discouraged. This only strengthens our resolve to continue doing for the people what others have failed to do,” he noted.
CMC’s planned importation of construction machinery marks a bold step in its quest to combine political participation with community empowerment, signaling what Bility calls a “new era of results-driven politics” in Liberia.
