The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) Clay Checkpoint Detachment has apprehended a 45-year-old woman for possession of a significant quantity of Tramadol concealed in gallons of red oil.
During a routine vehicle inspection, officers discovered the drugs hidden inside multiple containers of red oil. The suspect, identified as Madam Emmon Gboyah, reportedly admitted ownership of the gallons during questioning.
Authorities say the confiscated Tramadol is valued at over nine hundred thousand Liberian dollars. The LDEA Bomi County team has also stepped up patrols throughout the region to curb the trafficking of dangerous substances.
