Authorities have confirmed that the tricycle linked to the assault of Paynesville City Police officer David Johnson has been seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
The Kehkeh was reportedly impounded by Agent Hanson Fanciah of the Executive Protection Service (EPS), who is currently assigned to the Vice President’s security detail.
While the individual operating the tricycle at the time of seizure was not the suspect responsible for attacking Officer Johnson, investigators say the development marks an important breakthrough. Officials now believe they have a solid lead that could guide them to the actual perpetrator.
The Paynesville City Corporation expressed appreciation for the cooperation received from security personnel and the public, stressing that the search for the assailant continues.
