The Ministry of Agriculture has issued a clarification following media reports linking the institution to an alleged rape case involving Mr. Sando S. Kromah.
According to the Ministry, contrary to claims identifying Kromah as an “official,” he is not an employee or staff member of the Ministry but rather a contractor working within its procurement unit.
In its statement, the Ministry emphasized its zero-tolerance stance on sexual and gender-based violence, confirming that it has already suspended Kromah’s contractor engagement while the government’s investigation is ongoing.
“The Ministry of Agriculture strongly condemns all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and reaffirms its full cooperation with the Liberia National Police and all relevant authorities to ensure justice is served,” the statement read.
GThis clarification comes amid widespread public concern over the case, which has drawn significant attention in both local and social media circles.
