The Liberia National Police (LNP) has confirmed that two of its officers have been disrobed and turned over to the Professional Standards Division (PSD) for investigation after being caught on camera allegedly looting during the enforcement of a court-ordered eviction at the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) headquarters.
Deputy Inspector General of Police for Operations, Nelson Freeman, made the disclosure to reporters in Congo Town on Saturday.
According to Freeman, the LNP remains committed to professionalism and accountability, stressing that the alleged misconduct of the officers does not reflect the values of the institution. He assured the public that the matter is being thoroughly investigated and that appropriate action will follow in keeping with established procedures.

The development comes amid heightened political and legal tensions surrounding the CDC headquarters eviction, which saw significant police presence and demolition of key structures on the property.
