President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. has accepted the resignation of Mr. D. Dorr Cooper, who served as Inspector General at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Cooper submitted his resignation to the President on May 28, 2025, expressing deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve the Liberian people. He described his tenure as one of the greatest honors of his life and reaffirmed his commitment to the values of patriotism, commitment, and public service.
In accepting the resignation, President Boakai praised Mr. Cooper for his dedicated service and commended his efforts in promoting accountability and transparency within Liberia’s commercial regulatory system.

“The Government remains committed to good governance and institutional effectiveness,” President Boakai stated, assuring the public that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry continues to function efficiently despite the transition.
