Liberian Afrobeats star Jaredo has revealed a heartbreaking blow to his long-anticipated album, Prince Of Africa (POA), during a candid interview on OK FM’s Entertainment Link with host Jus Ville.
The artist disclosed that he lost a crucial SOG drive containing all the master files for the album, a project he has been working on meticulously for months. The drive held high-profile collaborations with African music giants including Ghana’s Shatta Wale and King Promise, and Nigeria’s Grammy-winning superstar Wizkid.
The incident occurred just as the album was nearing completion, throwing a wrench into the final stages of production. Jaredo described the moment as “devastating,” noting that the loss not only affected his momentum creatively but also rendered months of investment and planning fruitless.

“This wasn’t just about music files,” Jaredo explained during the interview. “It was a whole journey, my time, energy, the team’s hard work, and the dreams fans had built around this project. Losing it was like starting all over from scratch.”
Despite the blow, the “Your Waist” hitmaker isn’t backing down. He remains optimistic and determined to revive the project. Jaredo hinted at the possibility of re-recording tracks with the featured artists, reaffirming his commitment to delivering an album that lives up to its name and his fans’ expectations.
While no official release timeline has been given, fans across the continent are rallying behind Jaredo, hoping he bounces back stronger and delivers the Prince Of Africa project in full glory.
