Liberia has joined over 200 nations in Asunción, Paraguay, to participate in the 75th FIFA Congress, a major gathering of the global football community that brings together decision-makers from across the sport’s governing body.
Representing the West African nation is a three-member delegation from the Liberia Football Association (LFA), led by LFA President Mustapha I. Raji. He is accompanied by LFA General Secretary Emmett Crayton and Executive Committee Member Tickly D. Monkoney, Jr.
The prestigious gathering, held at the CONMEBOL Convention Center, has drawn more than 2,500 delegates from FIFA’s 211 member associations. The Congress provides a platform for football leaders to engage in key discussions and adopt policies aimed at advancing the global game.
This year’s Congress focuses on critical themes such as football development, governance, inclusion, and the continued evolution of FIFA’s global competitions. It also serves as a forum to approve financial reports, review statutes, and elect members to various FIFA committees.

Liberia’s presence at the event underscores its commitment to international football diplomacy and its ambition to remain actively involved in shaping the future of the sport, both within Africa and on the world stage.
The FIFA Congress is the organization’s supreme legislative body and meets annually to set the overall direction of football governance worldwide.
