Wologizi Fc have etched their name into Liberian football history, securing the 2024/2025 Second Division League title in emphatic fashion with a resounding 7-1 victory over Mighty Enforcers FC. The win, combined with a crucial draw for second-place Jubilee FC, confirmed their promotion to the First Division with four games still remaining, a testament to their dominance this season.
The championship-clinching match, played at the D-Tweh Field on Bushrod Island, was a showcase of Wologizi’s attacking brilliance. Francis Doe set the tone early, firing home in the 3rd minute before converting a penalty just three minutes later. Maxwell Kelleh added a third, but Mighty Enforcers managed a consolation goal just before halftime to make it 3-1.
However, the second half belonged entirely to Wologizi. Substitute Kiafa Sheriff proved instrumental, assisting in three of Doe’s second-half goals, completing the striker’s hat-trick and adding another for good measure. Kelleh grabbed his second of the day, and Sylvanus Momodu sealed the 7-1 rout, sending fans into wild celebrations.
With this victory, Wologizi extended their lead at the top to an unassailable 13 points over Jubilee FC, who were held to a 3-3 draw by Pags FC. Their remarkable campaign, 21 wins, 2 draws, and only 3 losses, has been a masterclass in consistency and determination.
For head coach Jasper Benfelix, this triumph is particularly sweet. Just a year after resigning from Nimba Kwado following their relegation, he has now guided Wologizi FC to the top flight in his very first season, marking his second Second Division promotion after previously achieving the feat with Cece United.

As Wologizi FC prepares for their First Division debut, the club’s incredible rise serves as an inspiration to smaller teams across Liberia. With a prolific attack, a resilient defense, and a coach with a point to prove, they will be eager to make their mark among the nation’s elite.
