The Majority Bloc of the House of Representatives has voted to suspend Montserrado County District #10 Representative, Yekeh Y. Kolubah, for 30 session days. This decision comes after a complaint was filed against him by Representative Johnson SN. Williams of River Gee County District #3, accusing Kolubah of repeatedly disrespecting the House.
Out of the lawmakers present, 30 voted in favor of suspending Kolubah, while only three, Representatives Emmanuel Dahn, Matthew F. Joe, and Sumo K. Mulbah, stood by him. The House’s Committee on Rules, Order, and Administration led the investigation, which resulted in this disciplinary action.

Kolubah, known for his outspoken nature and strong criticisms of government officials, has often found himself at odds with his colleagues. His suspension means he will be unable to participate in legislative activities for the next 30 working days. However, this move is likely to stir political reactions, as Kolubah remains a controversial but influential figure in Liberian politics.
A motion of reconsideration was filed by Lofa County District #4 Representative Gizzie Kollince, seeking to have the suspension of Representative Yekeh Kolubah lifted.
However, Representative Kollince declined the motion for reconsideration, thereby allowing the 30-day suspension, without pay and benefits, to stand.
It remains to be seen how he will respond to this decision and whether he will challenge it in any way.
