After nearly five months of makeshift meetings in various locations across Monrovia, the Majority Bloc has announced that it is finally returning to host section in the main chambers of the Capitol Building.
For 145 days, political disagreements and leadership struggles kept lawmakers of the majority bloc from accessing the official legislative hall. The main chamber was occupied by members of minority bloc, headed by Speaker J. Fonati Koffa, who were constantly adjourning their sections as they couldn’t have a quorum based on the less number of lawmakers present.
For the majority bloc, they have been conducting sessions at the now-burnt Joint Chambers, Monrovia City Hall, and even the Executive Pavilion. The standoff between the two blocs disrupted legislative business and left many wondering when normalcy would return.

Now, the Purported speaker, Richard Koon, Deputy Speaker Thomas Fallah, and other members of the majority bloc passed a resolution last Thursday to settle back into the main chambers, that has once been under the control of Speaker J. Fonati Koffa and members of the minority bloc.
