FC Fassell sent a strong message to their rivals with a dominant 7-1 win over Freeport FC at Tusa Field, tightening their grip on the top spot in the Liberian First Division League.
The “Soccer Missionaries” wasted no time imposing themselves, scoring twice within the first 20 minutes. Freeport FC briefly showed signs of life when Sammie Siryee pulled one back, but Fassell still went into halftime leading 2-1.
After the break, Fassell shifted into high gear, adding five more goals to complete an emphatic victory. The result pushes them to 41 points—six points clear of second-placed Heaven Eleven, who climbed the table with a 3-1 win over Blackman Warriors.
Elsewhere, Discoveries FC slipped to third after a 2-1 loss to Global Pharma FC. Bea Mountain staged an impressive comeback from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 with Invincible Eleven, while Mighty Barrolle and Watanga FC battled to a 2-2 draw. LPRC Oilers also shared points with Paynesville FC in a 1-1 tie.

Meanwhile, LISCR FC put on a show on Friday, thrashing Shaita FC 6-1, with Mark Karley stealing the spotlight with a hat-trick.
