Residents of Greenville City, Sinoe County, witnessed a significant move by the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) on the night of January 18, 2025. During a routine patrol, officers arrested a Nigerian man, Mr. Olisa Emeka, for possession of illegal substances.
How It Happened
The arrest occurred around 7:30 PM as LDEA officers, led by Special Agent Milton Kloh Howard, were conducting a night patrol in Greenville City and nearby areas. While patrolling the New Kru Town community, they stopped and searched Mr. Emeka, a 32-year-old resident of Teah’s Town.
What they found raised alarms—a search revealed Mr. Emeka was carrying two kilograms of compressed marijuana, worth approximately $200 USD (38,000 Liberian Dollars). Additionally, he had a carton of “Ven Guinea” cigarettes, valued at $250 USD (47,500 Liberian Dollars).
What’s Next for the Suspect?
Mr. Emeka is now in LDEA custody at their Greenville City office, where investigations are ongoing. Authorities have assured the public that he will be sent to court for trial soon.
