Tragedy struck the quiet town of Voinjama, Lofa County, on January 26, 2025, when the body of Little Siah John, a young student at Akoi’s Loyal Academy School, was discovered with signs of being sodomized before she was brutally murdered and her body dumped in an unfinished building behind the Koitoma Hill in Voinjama, Lofa County. Her life was cut short in what appears to be a ritualistic killing, leaving the entire community shaken, outraged, and demanding justice.
Little Siah, a bright and innocent girl of the Kissi tribe, didn’t deserve such a brutal end. Reports from an eight-member jury investigating the incident reveal that her body bore stab wounds to her diaphragm, stomach, and back, along with a deep cut. Heartbreakingly, there were signs of sodomy, as the jury stated there was sign of penetration in her anus, pointing to the unimaginable cruelty she endured before her death.

This tragedy sends a disturbing wave of ritualistic killings that has gripped Lofa County, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty. Parents now worry daily for the safety of their children, unsure if their little ones will return home from school or fall victim to this senseless violence.
The Liberia National Police detachment in Voinjama is expected to release further details on this heinous crime. Meanwhile, the people of Lofa are calling for swift and uncompromising justice for Little Siah. Citizens across the county are uniting in grief and anger, demanding that those responsible be held accountable for their despicable actions.
This isn’t just a Lofa issue—it’s a national crisis. How many more children must be sacrificed before we address the culture of impunity that allows such atrocities to persist? How long will innocent lives be lost before meaningful action is taken to protect the most vulnerable among us?
Little Siah’s death is a stark reminder of the urgent need to prioritize the safety of our children and bring an end to these ritualistic killings. Her story must not be buried with her; it must become the catalyst for change.
To the family of Little Siah, we extend our deepest condolences. May her soul rest in peace, and may her tragic death ignite the justice and accountability that our country desperately needs.
Justice for Little Siah! Justice for all victims of ritualistic killings!
