On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the AB Tolbert Road community awoke to a tragic and deeply disturbing scene, the lifeless body of Abraham Dunn, a young man full of promise, was discovered under circumstances that demand urgent answers.
Born in 2000, Abraham was a graduate of Starz University with aspirations of furthering his education at the University of Liberia’s Graduate School. He was a son, a friend, and a future leader whose life was cruelly cut short, leaving his family and an entire community in shock.
Reports suggest that the tragedy began with a confrontation involving Angel Quoih, the daughter of Sinoe County District 1 Representative Thomas Romeo Quoih. It is alleged that Angel summoned security agents from AB Kormah’s Security Service, instructing them to detain Abraham and his friends. What followed is a series of actions that resulted in Abraham’s death—a death shrouded in allegations of brutality and misconduct.

Witnesses claim that the security agents not only detained Abraham but violently assaulted him, breaking his neck and legs and injecting him with an unknown substance. These horrifying details paint a grim picture of unchecked power and impunity.
Angel Quoih, now a person of interest, was briefly detained by the Liberia National Police (LNP) at the Paynesville Zone 5 Police Depot. However, her father, Representative Thomas Romeo Quoih, allegedly intervened, ordering her release despite her central role in this case. Such interference raises troubling questions about the state of justice in Liberia.
The allegations against Angel, including her claim that Abraham and his friends were attempting to rob her, remain unverified. This accusation has done little to quell public outrage, as many see it as an attempt to deflect responsibility.

This case is a stark reminder of Liberia’s growing list of unresolved deaths—Little Shadrach Dokie Jr., Princess Cooper, Odell Sherman, the three missing boys, the four auditors—all haunting examples of justice delayed and denied. Abraham’s death must not be added to this list.
As a nation, we must demand better. The rule of law must prevail, even when those implicated are powerful and well-connected. Representative Quoih’s alleged interference is a direct affront to justice and accountability, and it cannot go unchallenged.

Abraham’s family deserves closure, and the people of Liberia deserve a system that values every life equally. This is not about politics or power, it’s about justice. The Liberia National Police and all relevant authorities must ensure a full, impartial investigation. Those responsible for Abraham’s death, regardless of their status, must be held accountable.
Abraham Dunn’s life mattered. His dreams mattered. And his death must matter too. It is a call to action for every Liberian who believes in justice and fairness. Let us not allow another tragedy to fade into silence.
