Liberian football star Oscar Dorley, who holds the title of Liberia’s most expensive footballer, was sent off for the third time in his professional career during Slavia Praha’s 2-1 victory over Sparta Praha on Sunday night, October 6. The intense derby clash in the Czech First League saw Dorley dismissed in the final moments of the game after an altercation with a player of the opponent team.
In the eighth minute of added time, tensions boiled over as Dorley head-butted a Sparta Praha player, resulting in a straight red card. This marked his third career red card, a rare occurrence for the talented midfielder known for his composure and maturity on the field.
Dorley has been a key figure for Slavia Praha since his arrival in 2019 from Slovan Liberec, establishing himself as one of the top players in the Czech First League. Despite his exit from the match, Slavia Praha managed to hold onto their lead, securing the win in the highly anticipated first leg of the 2024/25 Prague derby.
