Nana Gyamfi, a 28-year-old journalist, has found himself in legal trouble as the Liberia National Police (LNP) detains him on suspicions of illegal firearm possession.
Gyamfi, who resides in the Johnsonville area, reportedly acquired the firearm from an unidentified individual. He claimed that he carries the weapon for personal protection, especially during his work.
The LNP has taken Gyamfi into custody, and he is currently being held at their headquarters while an investigation is underway. The case highlights ongoing concerns about firearm control and security in Liberia.
Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
