According to multiple reports, the Sixth Judicial Circuit, also known as the Civil Law Court, has ordered the eviction of the opposition party, Congress for Democratic Change (CDC), from its headquarters. The ruling transferred full ownership of the property to Martha Bernard, a member of the Bernard family.
CDC Secretary General Jefferson Koijee has responded to the ruling, warning the government to refrain from involving itself in the case. Koijee has also accused the Unity Party of playing a behind-the-scenes role in the eviction, claiming that the party is using political influence to fuel the removal. He emphasized that the issue is a private family matter and not one of political interest.
As the eviction looms, this ruling adds another layer of complexity to the already tense political landscape.
