CH Rennie Hospital In Kakata, Gutted By Raging Fire.

Residents of Kakata City in Margibi County, woke up early Sunday morning to the scenery of the biggest Government Hospital in Margibi, CH Rennie, being vanquished by a huge fire outbreak.

Though the cause of the fire is still yet unknown and no death has since been reported, early reports claims that the outbreak might be as the result of an electrical shock in the building.

The fire entered every part of the building as it lasted for close to two hours. Residents, nurses and by passers, had to join forces to help evacuate patients who were still in the building undergoing treatment.

As usual it took several hours before the Liberia National Fire Service arrived on the scene. By then the fire had destroyed most of the building, including materials and equipments within it.

It can be recorded that In recent times The CH Rennie Hospital has been faced with series of protest from employees and contractors because of unpaid salaries and arrears owed them by the hospital authorities for more than seven months.
