The Lonestar of Liberia has agreed to face Algeria in a international friendly encounter at the Olympic Stadium in Oran.
Liberia will take on Algeria in an international friendly at the new Olympic Stadium in Oran at 19:45GMT (7:45PM Liberian time) on 17 June.
Algeria were due to take on Burundi in a friendly on 16 June but the Algerian Football Federation says the match has been canceled due to “difficulties in moving their guests to Oran”.
Coach Madjid Bougherra will use the friendly to prepare for the FIFA Arab Nations Cup in Qatar in December.
Liberia will take on Libya at the Stade Chedly in Tunis, Tunisia on 14 June and fly to Oran.
Goalkeeper Ashley Williams, defender Prince Balde and midfielder David Tweh will miss the friendlies.
Williams injured himself in the warm-up to the 1-0 defeat to Mauritania in Tunis on 11 June and was replaced by Tommy Songo after half time.
Balde, who debuted in the same match, tested positive for Covid-19 along with medic Samson Zoegbeh.
And Tweh has rejoined Rukh Brest, who are competing in the Vysshaya Liga, Belarus’ top league.
Liberia head coach Peter Butler has called-up Monrovia Club Breweries goalkeeper Abdulai Koulibaly to replace Williams.
Koulibaly left Monrovia at 06:00GMT on 13 June and is expected in Tunis at 13:00GMT on 14 June.
Mighty Barrolle goalkeeper Morlik Keita, who tested positive for Covid-19 in Accra on 7 June, is receiving treatment in Ghana.
