Chaos in Zwedru City as Angry crowd burns down police headquarters.

Angry crowd this morning have stormed the compound of a police station in Zwedru city setting it on fire and looting all of their logistics in the building. According to a citizen on ground in a live video, the actions of the citizens comes as a result of an officer of the Liberia National Police killing a motorcyclist. The officer in question was no where to be found which got the crowd angry and the decided to rush to the station to seek revenge.

It is unclear whether there were inmates at the stations but from what we gather in the live video, there has been no inmate coming out of the prison.

Reports have it that the Protesters are moving to Grand Gedeh Correction Center right now and they might possibly take similar action. In the video the protesters also threatened to burn a mosque and a public market building because a Fulani allegedly killed another motorcyclist which provoked the LNP’s aggressive intervention.
