GREENVILLE – Prince Deyowon, a 32-year-old man, has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the rape of a four-year-old child in Sinoe County. The sentence was delivered on Wednesday by Resident Circuit Judge Wesseh Alphonsus Wesseh, concluding a three-week trial.
The assault occurred in August 2025, when the toddler’s mother entrusted her daughter to Deyowon’s care. Upon her return, she discovered the child had suffered severe injuries.
Despite Deyowon’s claims of innocence, the court found the circumstantial evidence against him to be “consistent and convincing,” leading to a guilty verdict.
Delivering the ruling, Judge Wesseh characterized the crime as “a grave violation of trust.” He further ordered that Deyowon serve his sentence at the National Palace of Corrections in Zwedru.
